Literally in Holland where we are getting Autumn like weather this week. Temps down to 13 C, storm, rain. Quite a change after the heatwave we experienced in Eastern Europe and which is still scotching the earth down southeastern Europe !

I was also referring to not being able to make much headway in my planned worked schedule. First we ‘had to’ leave on family business, leaving me virtually without Internet for 10 days. The FSX started acting up and crashing while trying to do research for a CPM article. And last night my router gave up on me (I think), leaving me tinkering for an entire day trying to fix it. In which I hopelessly failed of course.

To you NVidia-users-with-FSX-problems, I may have a Tip.
I am running an NVidia 7800GTX card and experienced eratic behavior in the Anti-Aliasing department ever since I loaded FSX. I would have to turn it on via the NVidia settings and nothing would happen. Then turn AA on in the sim itself… and it might work.. or it might not. Even if it DID work, sometimes in midflight I would get jaggies and would have to turn on AA AGAIN!

Anyway, a couple weeks ago I got my first CTD (Crash To Desktop) with a mvscr80.dll module being the culprit apparently. The CTD’s kept increasing in frequency, but triggered by a wide variety of FSX modules it seemed.

I went hunting on the Net, found a gazillion ‘theories’ and even more ‘solutions’…. all well meant I am sure.

There is ONE that actually DOES work for me now. No more CTD’s !!!

It consists of simply turning AA ON via the NVidia  settings program (in my program tray underneath the screen) and turning it OFF in the sim itself.

But.. chances are it only works for one or two PC’s among the 80 million…… Good luck !
